In the bundle, there is an Xbox One console, 24 months of access to Xbox Game Pass Access, and an option to upgrade to Xbox Scarlett. If you’re unfamiliar with Game Pass, it is a subscription service that provides access to all Microsoft Studios games and many other third-party titles. It typically costs $9.99 per month. As for the Scarlett incentive, Microsoft’s next gen Xbox will launch in during the holiday season 2020. With the Sony PlayStation 5 launching in the same frame, competition will be fierce. Microsoft clearly wants users to already have an easy path to the new console when it arrives. In terms of upgrading, Microsoft says customers with the Xbox One S bundle can move to Scarlett after 18 months, while those with the Xbox One X subscription can do so after 12 months. This is achieved by trading in the console.
Bundles
Three subscription bundles are available starting at $19.99/month over 24 months. Each comes with one of the Xbox One models and a standard wireless controller. As always, once the payment term is over the customer keeps the console. Microsoft says the three plans all save customers over a $100 compared to getting each service separately:
$30.99/mo for 24 months for an Xbox One X, or $743.76 in total $22.99/mo for 24 months for an Xbox One S, or $551.76 in total
19.99/mo for 24 months for an Xbox One S All Digital Edition, or $479.76 in total
